YouTube.com, once the unofficial home on the web for free-speech and self-expression has now become a cesspool of wicked censorship. YouTube’s new policies that they laid out a couple of weeks ago has spawned a fire storm of decent among the rank and file users.
Basically, YouTube will now “algorithmically demote” (censor) videos that are too political, controversial, vulgar, or that they just don’t like. This is a disgrace, and starting December 19th we are going to show them that it is not a smart business move. Join me and hordes of other YouTube users in sending a message by boycotting YouTube from December the 19th through the 21st. This “Blackout” will drive down their ad revenue, and make YouTube and their new parent company Google feel our disapproval in the one place where they can feel anything: their wallets!
