Movie Review – The Day the Earth Stood Still

My wife took me to see ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still,’ so I thought I would do a review of it. I am a big fan of the original. This remake, staring Keanuu Reeves, raises some very important questions, like contact with alien intelligences, transhumanism, and the fate of our planet and ultimately ourselves. Be warned, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, this podcast contains spoilers!

Here are the links that I refer to in the podcast.

Gay Christians

Last Sunday Denice and I attended a Christmas concert that was held by the Metropolitan Community Church of Knoxville Tennessee. The MCC is an organization that caters to the religious needs of the “gay, lesbian, and transgender” community. Please listen to the podcast for my comments on this event, and on the phenomenon of “gay Christians” in general.

Debunking “Supernatural” Phenomenon

I felt inspired to talk a little about certain behaviour displayed during many Christian worship services that is passed of as being “supernatural.” After spending many years as a run-of-the-mill, awe struck believer in these things, I can testify from personal experience that they are completely of natural origin. In this podcast, I focus primarily on the phenomenon that is commonly called ‘being slain in the spirit,’ which I affectionately refer to as ‘potato sacking.’ Enjoy, and subscribe!

My Road to Reason

Hello friends. This is my first audio blog. In this recording I talk about my indoctrination into Christianity as a child, and some of the key things that happened to me to bring about my deconversion from the religion. It’s about thirteen minutes long, and is the first of what will probably be many parts. I was really fricked up in the head, so it’s going to take a while to explain it all.
