well, what are you waiting for? if we all wait for the "one day" then its never going to happen. and actually whe dont need energy at all. think about it, tv, cellphone, lights.furnish its all unesaceary. the alternatives are simple, candles, cooking fire, and for all the internet and cellphone stuff. try making some friends close to home, and walk over there to talk to them for a change.
but watch out! you might start to like a simple life. :)
i apologise if i seem a bit snappy, but everybody says: one day i might do that. but they never do. changing is not that difficult.

This is probably kind of weird, but I was one of the first individuals that clashed with you on the old spiritfx website. I was a freshman in college and a group I was with was picketing outside of an abortion clinic that you were also outside of. You had placed a picture of me on your website and I asked you to take it down, which sparked a large debate between the two of us and as far as I remember (this would have been 6 years ago) placed me as your first piece of hate-mail.

Occasionally I've thought about you and wondered what had happened to you, so today I got on your site to see and realized you've changed completely! I must say, as someone who has almost completely changed my stance on the Christian religion also, this seems like an interesting change of events.

I still consider myself a Christian, but more-so, I consider myself a mystic and skeptic. I'm currently studying Buddhism and Sufism and attempting to learn meditation and contemplative exercises.

Its very odd that I thought about you recently considering it was so long ago, but I do not think it was a complete matter of chance.

Have a good day!

Thanks for the comment, Orff. Actually, the book of Mormons is on my future reading list, as is the Qur'an. I may bump it up to the top though. After all, the LDS church offers free delivery ;)

Peace.

Hey, thanks for the article. I am a Christian and I'm writing a paper about Darwin. In my religion, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or Mormons, we are encouraged to learn about science. We believe that God created everything. But he did not do it out of nothing. He uses known and unknown laws of science to bring about his purposes. Here is a strange view: Is it possible to believe in God and science? Yes, it is. I think all of the people that condemn Darwin are extremists, for lack of a better, nicer word. And Yes, you're right in this article, Darwin is not scary or evil. I also think that it's important to know what he's saying, even if people don't believe in it. The same way I think it's important to know about other world religions even if we don't follow them. It's always a good idea to learn about the people you share this world with.

In short, I don't claim to know everything about God or science, but I do know that God is real and we are his children. The details of how that is, I don't know, but I do know he has a plan for us and he wants us to learn and grow in this life, and eventually return to live with him again and become like him.

Note to the Author of "Darwin in a Nutshell":
Hey, you wanna know another book that perhaps fellow Christians will tell you you'll burn in hell for reading? The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. My advice to you, since you've been so bold as to read Darwin, why not try out the Book of Mormon? There's a controversial book for ya.
Let me know if you need one. You can also read it online at www.lds.org or www.mormon.org
The End. Thanks for reading, and congratulations if you made it this far.
